SPRINGFIELD - The Animal Protective League is inviting central Illinois residents to attend pet adoption events in Springfield this weekend.

APL officials say they will bring the Mobile Pet Adoption Center to Farm and Home Supply, located at 3030 Wabash Avenue, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.  Attendees will be able to visit with cats and dogs in a special meet-and-greet room inside the mobile center, as well as check out this unique trailer.

The public is also invited to attend an adoption event at PetSmart on Veterans Parkway from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on March 20.  Adoptable cats will be featured throughout this event.

If you are unable to attend either of these events, but still want to provide a loving home for an adoptable cat or dog, you can visit the APL Shelter at 1001 Taintor Road from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. every day.

All pets available for adoption have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, and are up-to-date on vaccinations.  For more information about APL, click here.
