Champaign Park District receives $2000 donation from Ameren Illinois
CHAMPAIGN – Ameren Illinois has donated $2,000 to help support the Champaign Park District’s youth scholarship program.
Through this program, hundreds of children are assisted each year. This helps them attend day camps, play sports, learn to swim or have a safe and supervised place to go after school. Families facing economic hardship are able to be provided with fee waivers, so their children can still participate in recreational programs through the Park District.
Champaign Park District officials say they are grateful to Ameren Illinois for this contribution and applaud the company for “demonstrating its support for our youth, the value of play and its role in shaping the future of our community.”
