DECATUR - The Decatur Police Department says one man faces multiple burglary charges in connection with several shoplifting incidents that happened throughout March.

According to sworn statements, Decatur police say Dylan Wildman, 18, was arrested for allegedly shoplifting electronics from the Walmart location on North Prospect Avenue on March 12, and was arrested for allegedly shoplifting electronics from the Target location on West Mound Road on March 14.

In the sworn statements, Decatur police say Wildman was allegedly on surveillance video, taking pictures of items on his phone, then waiting for a response.  Decatur police say they believe Wildman was allegedly sending pictures of items to potential customers to confirm that's the item they want.

Authorities also say Wildman was interviewed by Decatur police, and allegedly told officers that he "entered the store with the intent to shop for other people.

Wildman is currently facing five counts of burglary, and one count of possession of a stolen vehicle.
