Champaign reopens search for new library director

Posted: Updated:

CHAMPAIGN – The search for a new Champaign Public Library has been reopened.

“Though our last recruitment didn’t result in filling this critical position, the process and accompanying input from all who participated helped us further refine the expectations and requirements for our next director,” said Martin Wolske, Library Board of Trustees President.

Those wishing to apply can find an application on the City of Champaign’s website.

Applications will be accepted through May 15.

The City of Champaign staff and consultants at Bradbury Associates/Gossage Sager Associates will assist the Board of Trustees in the search. Input from the library and community stakeholders will once again be incorporated into the search.

Donna Pittman is the acting library director. Former director Marsha Grove retired in January.
