UPDATE: Wood Street Shooting Near Millikin University

Decatur - We know more about the Thursday shooting of a 22-year-old on Wood Street near Millikin University. 
Decatur Police say 23-year-old Curston Turner was arrested for attempted first degree murder. 

WAND TV first told you Thursday, Decatur Police Department were called out just before 9:00 a.m. after a man was shot in the leg in the 900 block of West Wood.  The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Allan Hill. Hill was transported to St. Mary's Hospital where he is expected to be OK. 

A witness to the crime told police she was in the vehicle with Hill when he was shot. The witness, Alan Hill and Hill's cousin had just pulled up and parked their car in a driveway on West Wood when shots were fired. The witness said she heard screaming after the shooting and recognized it as the voice of her ex boyfriend, Curston Tuner. Curston was later identified as the suspect in the shooting. 

The witness stated shortly before the shooting, Turner had called and text her about her location and who she was with.  She also stated that Turner previously expressed anger about her dating other men and had made threatening comments to the effect of that she should be careful who she hung out with. 

Curston Turner is also facing Domestic Battery charges for an assault from February 3rd, 2016. 

Turner remains behind bars on a $500,000 bond.
