Researchers Question whether Alcohol is Really Good for You

CANADA - Canadian researchers say they're skeptical of research suggesting moderate alcohol consumption is good for your health.

The group analyzed 87 studies on alcohol and death from all causes.  They found many compared moderate drinkers, to people who didn't drink at all, including those in poor health, who cut out alcohol altogether.

It was actually people who had less than one drink per week, who lived the longest.

Scientists say it's not likely such a small amount of alcohol would be the reason for longevity.
