UIS Alum To Hold Event on Ending Violence Against Women

SPRINGFIELD- Kyle Simpson, UIS graduate is working alongside U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill to move forward legislation to end violence against women.

Graduating in 2007, Simpson has been working with various politicians after concluding an internship at the Illinois Capitol his senior year. He is now working as a legislative aide to U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill and has been working to address legislation to reduce violence against women and end college sexual violence.

On Wednesday April 6, his Alma mater will welcome him back and host a ECCE speaker series event. The event is free to the public and will be held at the University of Illinois in Springfield's Brookens Auditorium.
