MAROA – Downtown Maroa welcomes a new a Cafe continuing a tradition after the Main Street Diner closed.

Rhonda Braden and her family have opened Uptown Cafe at 119 West Main Street. The Grand Opening was March 15. Rhonda says the menu offers breakfast and lunch selections with daily specials.

Terri Braden, who is her mother, says soon they will take recipes from customers to make as a way of thanking their patrons.

Part of the former diner is a wall of names from those from Maroa who served in the military and conflicts from World War One through Vietnam. Senior specials are big draw along with Fried Chicken Thursday's and Fish Fry Fridays.
