Gerber Baby Food Pouches Recall

US-Gerber is recalling an unspecified number of its Organic 2nd Foods pouches.  There’s a packaging defect that could cause the food to spoil.

The recall involves Gerber Organic 2nd Foods pouches with pears, carrots and peas.  Also recalled Gerber Organic 2nd Foods pouches with carrots, apples and mangoes.

Both products were sold in three and a half ounce pouches.

Gerber has received three consumer reports of temporary gastrointestinal symptoms, but hasn't confirmed if the illnesses are related to the products.

3.5 ounce pears, carrots and peas pouch with best by dates of July 12, 2016 and July 13, 2016 and batch codes of 51945335XX and 51955335XX

3.5 ounce carrots, apples and mangoes pouch with best by dates of July 13, 2016 and July 14, 2016 and batch codes of 51955335XX and 51965335XX

Consumers who purchased pouches with the above UPCs, batch codes and expiration dates are encouraged to contact the Gerber Parents Resource Center at 1-800-706-0556 anytime day or night for a replacement coupon.
