U of I Extension Adds Program for Money Smart Week


Macon County- University of Illinois Extension will focus on saving money when it comes to food, during Money Smart Week. 

This year it runs April 23-30th.  Money Smart Week is a public awareness campaign designed to help consumers better manage their personal finances. This is achieved through the collaboration and coordination effort of organizations across the country including businesses, financial institutions, schools, libraries, not-for-profits, government agencies and the media.

Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago created the Money Smart to offer financial literacy programs, it has spread to various areas throughout the Country. 

U of I Extension office will send you an e-news letter everyday of that week.  You'll get tasty, budget-friendly recipes, watch videos to improve your diet, tips to
save money on food, make the most out of sale and budget items.
