Top Wound Healing Center and Nurse Up For National Nod


EFFINGHAM- Patsy Lilly, RN, CWCA at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital is  one of 7 finalists for the 'Mary Cook Nurse of the Year Award' 

The nationwide Healogics award is given to a dedicated, skilled and compassionate Nurse Manager yearly. The award is named after an RN, Mary Cook who was a pioneer in her field of wound care and passed away in 2010.  

Lilly has been practicing Would Healing at St. Anthony's since it opened in 2009. Her healing rate currently sits at 96 %. 

Lilly’s nomination outlined the many ways that she goes above and beyond her expected duties to demonstrate teamwork, exceed her customers’ expectations, and exhibit integrity and commitment while continually elevating her care.  Some of her attributes that were highlighted in the nomination included.

Lilly was quoted about this achievement, “I am truly honored but this award is not all about me. We all know we are only as good as the people around us and I have the pleasure of working with some amazing staff and physicians. They all trusted me, saw my vision and helped make the successes of our Wound Healing Center come true.”
