New Urban Garden Coming to Decatur

Posted: Updated:

Decatur- A groundbreaking ceremony was held to signify the first urban garden from the Emma Urban Gardens Projects.

The Fuller family, The Greater Black Chamber of Commerce, and The God's House of Refuge created this project to honor the late Emma B. Fuller, who had a passion for gardening.

The urban garden is planned to provide fresh produce to families in need and homeless shelters in Decatur. They also hope they can educate children about agriculture.

The urban garden will be located across the God's House of Refuge at 455 W. Packard street.
