Study: More Americans Saving Income This Year

NEW YORK - According to a study from Bankrate.com, "millennials" are saving more money than any other age group within the report.

The survey, which can be found here, shows that 62 percent of millennials are saving more than five percent of their income, and 29 percent are saving more than 10 percent of their income.  Additionally, the survey shows the percentage of Americans saving more than 10 percent of their incomes increased from 24 percent to 28 percent this year.

According to Bankrate.com Chief Financial Analyst Greg McBride, CFA, 21 percent of citizens said they are not saving any of their paycheck for retirement, emergencies, or financial goals.
