MakerGirl 3D Printing Outreach To Go Mobile If Goal is Met

Posted:

CHAMPAIGN- The MakerGirl’s are planning to hit the road with a new mobile unit. The 8-10 week trip will allow the unique STEM focused 3D printing outreach program to be accessible for all young girls especially, in areas where the ability to tap into technology can be difficult and at times impossible.

They have a kick start and are just a few hundred dollars short of their goal of $30,000.

Since they began in 2014, they have hosted 55 sessions and more than 400 participants.

We take a look tonight to see if they will reach that goal and where it will take them tonight on WAND News 6 and 10pm.
