CWLP Drive-Through to close for Road Repairs

Posted: Updated:

SPRINGFIELD – Springfield residents who use City Water, Light and Power’s drive-through payment window should be prepared to use other drop-off sites starting Monday, April 4.

The payment window will be closed due to concrete and road repairs near Lincoln Library. This window will reopen following repairs, but those are anticipated to last one to four weeks, depending on the weather conditions.

Other thru traffic will be permitted, including access to the library’s underground parking during this work.

During the closure, hours for the CWLP walk-in cashier window, located inside the Municipal Center West, will be extended for 7:30 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. City Business parking in designated spaces on Monroe Street is free of charge.

Customers can also drop off their payments at other CWLP drop-off sites throughout the city.

Payment drop boxes, which are available to CWLP customers 24 hours a day, are located in the drive-through lanes at Illinois National Bank’s branches at 2450 North Dirksen Parkway and 2849 South Sixth Street in Springfield; and the Heartland Credit Union, located at 2213 West White Oaks Drive.

Payments can also be made by phone by calling 217-789-2030, or online at CWLP’s website.
