Jersey Mike's Helps Fundraise for Central Illinois Food Bank

Springfield - A Springfield sandwich shop helped out the Central Illinois Food Bank in a big way on Wednesday.

Jersey Mike's donated all of Wednesday's profits to the food bank.  It's part of the company's annual day of giving.

The store's manager said that being a part of the community means helping those in need.
"Not only is all of the profit going to it, but every penny that comes in.  No matter if you just come in and buy a cookie, it's going to a family in need," said Nicolas Pratt.

The Central Illinois Food Bank provides local food banks in 21 counties throughout the area.
