CWLP to begin water meter work

Posted:

SPRINGFIELD - City Water, Light and Power officials say contracted workers are scheduled to begin water meter work next month.

CWLP officials say customers may notice USBronco employees working in front of properties at water meter pits.  Officials say the crews are working to replace meter reading equipment components for about 1,500 meters.  Customers should not expect their water service to be interrupted during this time.

If water meters are located inside a building, a CWLP employee will accompany the contractor to gain access to the meter.  CWLP employees and contractors will be in marked vehicles, and will carry identification.

If you have any questions about this project, call CWLP's Water Desk at (217) 789-2323.
