Railroad crossing in Springfield to close for improvements

SPRINGFIELD - The Union Pacific Railroad has announced that it will close a portion of a railroad in Springfield in order to make improvements beginning on April 11.

Officials say the roadway railroad crossing at Woodside Road, adjacent to the Iron Bridge Road intersection, will be affected by this closure.  Work on the railroad will begin at 7:00 a.m. on April 11, and will last until April 29, weather permitting.
