No-Cost CDL License Training

Decatur – No-cost CDL Class A truck driver training will soon be offered here in central Illinois.

Workforce Investment Solutions has received a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor.  Unemployed and underemployed individuals will be able to begin training at the end of May.

“This is an outstanding training opportunity to help local individuals become qualified for truck driving jobs available in our community,” said Ryan McCrady, president of the Economic Development Corporation of Decatur and Macon County. “Having an available, well-trained workforce is the number one priority in economic development.  It’s exciting to see how resources are being assembled to provide critical skills training for these individuals.”

Workforce Investment Solutions will host Information Sessions to recruit individuals to obtain the skills required for Class A CDL job openings.

Interested individuals must attend an Information Session to be considered:

Decatur Illinois workNet Center, 757 W. Pershing Rd.

Monday, April 11th, 9am OR 1pm

          OR

Richland Community College Clinton Center, 140 Sunrise Ct. Clinton, Il

Tuesday, April 12th, 10am

AND

Richland Community College, Shilling Center, Room SC01

Thursday April 14th, 9am OR 1pm
