Teen Founder of Validation Project speaking at Illinois College

Posted: Updated:

JACKSONVILLE – Valerie Weisler, the 17-year-old founder and CEO of the Validation Project, will be speaking at Illinois College.

The Validation Project works with more than 6,000 teenagers in 100 countries to turn their passions, such as cooking or photography, into positive action through mentoring, community service and media. It aims to give teens the tools to “change the world one validation at a time.”

Weisler started the Project three years at the age of 14 when she was the victim of bullying.

Since the Project took off, Weisler has been featured on CNN, The Meredith Vieira Show and Crain’s New York Business Magazine as one of the 20 under 20.

The presentation at Illinois College is free and open to the public. It will take place in Rammelkamp Chapel on April 11 at 11 AM.

More information about the Validation Project is available here.
