Champaign City Council expected to fill vacancy during April 5 meeting

CHAMPAIGN - The Champaign City Council is expected to fill the vacancy in the District 4 City Council office during a meeting on April 5.

Officials say ten candidates are being considered for this position, and that they were interviewed during a special study session meeting on March 29.  We have included a list of applicants below:

- Jared Fritz
- Don Gerard
- Lisa Gundersen
- Michael Markstahler
- Kimberley A. Nystrom
- Joe Petry
- Mary Shultz
- Benjamin Daniel Smith
- Greg Stock

Champaign officials began accepting applications on March 4.  The vacancy was created due to the resignation of Marci Dodds this year.
