"Conversation on Race" takes place April 7

DECATUR – Eight years ago, Jeffrey Perkins of the Caring Black Men started an annual event in Decatur called “A Conversation on Race.” His goal is to create a conversation about race relations that leaves all people feeling “constructively uncomfortable.”

The conversations challenge audiences to find solutions to end racism and feature timely topics.

This year’s conversation will be led by Mr. Perkins, Molly Berry from Millikin University, Rochelle Clark from DPS 61, and Alex Berry from Richland Community College. It will take place April 7 at Eisenhower High School at 6:00 PM.

Eisenhower High School is located at 1200 S. 16th Street in Decatur.
