Death of a Partner Can Cause Irregular Heartbeat



DENMARK - Experiencing the death of a spouse could increase the risk of an irregular heartbeat.

A new study led by researchers at Aarhus University shows rates of atrial fibrillation are 41-percent higher among people who were grieving.The highest risk was one to two weeks after a death and gradually subside over the next year.

People under 60 and who experienced an unexpected death were more likely to develop the problem.
