Police say man behind Dollar General robberies was on parole

Posted: Updated:

SPRINGFIELD - Police say a man on parole after serving one year is the man behind a recent string of Dollar General and convenience store robberies.

Reginald B. Deshazo, 33, was arrested after police were dispatched to a Family Video Store Monday after a report of a hold-up. He led police on a short chase before jumping out of a moving vehicle.

Later, police say they pulled over another care with Deshazo driving.

Pollice obtained a warrant of Deshazo's home and say they found potential evidence linking him to other robberies.

Deshazo was also convicted of aggravated robbery on August 7, 2015 and sentenced to eight years.
