$300,000 Winning Lucky Day Lotto Ticket sold in Effingham

Posted: Updated:

EFFINGHAM – Illinois Lottery representatives are on the lookout after an Effingham store sold a $300,000 winning tickets for Wednesday’s Lucky Day Lotto drawing.

Lottery officials say the winning ticket was purchased at Jack Flash, located at 1200 North Keller Drive. The ticket matches all five numbers – 01 – 05 – 09 – 17 – 19 – to win $300,000 in April 6’s midday drawing. Since they sold a winning ticket, the retailer will receive a bonus of $3,000, or one percent of the prize amount.

Winners have one year from the original drawing date to claim their prize.

Representatives from the Illinois Lottery also urge winners to sign the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until they visit one of the five prize centers in Chicago, Des Plaines, Rockford, Springfield or Fairview Heights.

In addition to Effingham’s winner, two winning tickets shared the $600,000 Lucky Day Lotto jackpot. Another $300,000 winning ticket was purchased in La Salle.

More than 19,000 players also took home prizes ranging from $1 to $200.
