Running out of excuses to stay inside? Come on out and “Learn to Run”! Learn to Run is a group that was established three years ago in Decatur and is designed for individuals with little to no running experience. It’s a free, 10-week program to help you complete a gradual, non-competitive transition from walking to running, in a supportive, group environment.

Groups meet Monday through Thursday from 5:30 to 6:10 PM and also from 8:30 to 9:10 AM on the weekends. Participants are encouraged to attend 3 to 4 sessions a week, and to rest 3 to 4 days per week also. Most groups meet at different trails within the Decatur Park District.
