Weather cooperative for Cubs, Cards home openers

CHICAGO -- Sunshine is on the way to Wrigleyville as the Cubs take on the Reds in their first home game of the season.

With first pitch at 7:05 p.m., temperatures will be a bit chilly in the mid 40s with gusty winds making it feel a bit cooler. The quiet weather comes a day after a soggy Sunday at the park.

Just a few hundred miles to the south, division rivals, the St. Louis Cardinals, will be taking on the Brewers in their home opener. A few showers are possible early in the game, but skies will start to clear by the time the game wraps up.

First pitch in St. Louis is at 3:15 p.m. with temperatures expected to be in the upper 50s.
