MONTICELLO - The Monticello Police Department will honor two citizens who saved the life of a person involved in a crash on March 30.

Authorities say they will honor the two individuals, along with the dispatcher who helped them stay calm, during the Monticello City Council meeting on April 11.  All three will receive an award recognizing their life-saving actions.

Monticello police say officers, firefighters, and EMTs were dispatched to a crash at about 3:15 p.m. on March 30 where a vehicle had caught on fire.  Police say the two citizens pulled the driver out of the vehicle before it became fully engulfed in flames.
