MCCD hosting hummingbird-themed mini camps

DECATUR - The Macon County Conservation District is offering central Illinois children the opportunity to learn more about hummingbirds during its "Speedy Hummingbirds Mini Camp" on April 27 and 28.

This mini camp is designed for children ages one through five, with a parent or guardian, and will be held at the Rock Springs Nature Center, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. both days.  The first mini camp will be held on April 27 and will be for children ages three through five, while the second will be held on April 28 and is designed for kids ages one through five.

Participants will learn more about hummingbirds through outdoor exploration and crafts.  The fee to attend is $10 per child, and you must register online by 12:00 p.m. on April 26.
