DANVILLE - In an update to a story WAND has been following since 2013, the Danville Police Department has announced that one man faces first-degree murder charges in the death of a Chicago man in February 2013.

In a release for the Danville Police Department, Sgt. Joshua Campbell says Raymond Collins has been charged with six counts of first-degree murder.  Campbell says Collins is being held on $5 million bond in connection with the death.

Authorities say 23-year-old Deandre Dunbar was shot at the Fair Oaks Apartments on February 5, 2013.  Dunbar was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The Vermilion County Coroner says Dunbar died from a single gunshot wound.  According to the preliminary investigation into the death, Danville police say witnesses reported the incident started as a confrontation, then turned to shots being fired.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.
