Jupiter Shines In The Night Sky

The night sky has put on a display! The Space Station made a flyover across the area tonight and next to the waxing gibbous moon is Jupiter! The moon has been moving closer to Jupiter in the night sky, the past several evenings.

Do you have a telescope? If so, you can spot a couple of the moons orbiting the giant planet. Lo, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto are visible from time to time and order will appear to change. Tonight, Ganymede is not visible as it is behind Jupiter.
