ILLINOIS----World Red Cross Day is coming up on May 8. That is when the local and global impact of Red Cross is celebrated.
And the Red Cross says the best way to celebrate is for eligible donors to make an appointment to give blood. Donors of all blood types are needed. Each day, the Red Cross needs to collect approximately 14,000 blood donations to meet the needs of patients.
