Life Saving Equipment Awarded To Edinburg Police

EDINBURG----The Edinburg Police Department has received two automated external defibrillators (AEDs).

The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation announced the equipment grant award.

The defibrillators are worth $2,505, and will be put in squad cars so police officers are prepared to provide medical assistance if an individual goes into cardiac arrest.

The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has given more than $18 million to 45 states and Puerto Rico, including more than $552,000 in Illinois.
