Hybrid Court of Macon County to hold sixth graduation ceremony

DECATUR - The Hybrid Court of Macon County has announced it will hold its sixth graduation ceremony on May 13.

The ceremony will be held at the Macon County Courthouse at 2:30 p.m.  Thirteen individuals are expected to graduate, and each graduate will be given a few minutes to make a statement, if they wish.  Refreshments will be served after the graduation, and the public is encouraged to attend.

The hybrid court was established in 2011, and provides treatment and intervention to adults who have a current non-violent felony offense and have been diagnosed with dependence on drugs or alcohol.  A total of 57 participants have successfully completed this program.
