Free salon services for cancer patients and survivors

Posted: Updated:

URBANA - Tricoci University of Beauty Culture has announced students will be giving free hair, makeup, and spa services to cancer patients and survivors on June 7.

Central Illinois cancer patients and survivors can visit 202 East University Avenue in Urbana to receive these services as part of Cancer Survivor Beauty and Support Day.  Cancer Survivor Beauty and Support Day was started in 2003 by Barbara Paget after learning of a California salon that offered complimentary salon services to cancer survivors and patients.

The salon services will be offered all day.  Officials say anyone interested in these services are asked to call (888) 286-0096 to make an appointment.
