Edgar County woman accepts plea deal in November 2014 death of 2-year-old son

PARIS - An Edgar County woman has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in connection with the November 2014 death of her two-year-old son.

According to the Associated Press, Selena Hall, 23, accepted a plea deal.  Hall was facing charges of first-degree murder, aggravated domestic battery, and obstruction of justice in addition to involuntary manslaughter.

Illinois State Police say Landon Weaver, 2, died on November 10, 2014 from injuries sustained on November 5, 2014.  Hall's boyfriend, James Watson, 34, also faces multiple charges in connection with Weaver's death.

A sentencing hearing for Hall is scheduled for December 6, 2016.
