Danville police investigating September 29 armed robbery

DANVILLE - The Danville Police Department is investigating a robbery that happened on the city's southwest side on September 29.

Danville police say officers were dispatched to the Arby's location in the 100 block of South Gilbert Street at about 10:20 p.m. for a report of a robbery.  Upon arriving, officers learned that a woman, standing 5'6" with a slim build, had robbed the business with a pink handgun.  

Workers told officers that the suspect entered the women's restroom, and confronted an employee who entered the restroom to clean.  Police say the suspect then escorted the employee to the safe and demanded money before running from the business.

Danville police say the suspect was described as wearing silver sweatpants, a long-sleeved black shirt, black Nike shoes, and a black ski mask.  Still images from this incident are expected to be uploaded to the Vermilion County Crime Stoppers website.
