An Afternoon of Pampering

Posted: Updated:

Springfield- Over 100 breast cancer survivors and their caretakers were treated to an afternoon of pampering in Springfield.

The 5th annual Pamper and Pink event was held Sunday afternoon. It's an afternoon to spoil survivors for all their strength.

This year's event included massages, pink hair extensions, manicures, crafts, music, food and even a photo booth.

"We are leading up to our Making Strides against Breast Cancer walk. It's an event that we raise money for education, research, and free patient services. Survivors are why we do this, so it's just a way to honor our survivors and invite them out to the walk next weekend." said Amanda German, Community Manager for the American Cancer Society.

The event is held free for survivors.
