Danville police investigating October 3 armed robbery

DANVILLE - The Danville Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that happened on the city's north side early Monday morning.

Danville police say officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of North Vermilion Street at about 3:00 a.m. for a report of an armed robbery at a Circle K gas station.  Authorities say two men entered the business wearing black bandanas over their faces, and that one man pointed a black handgun at an employee and demanded money while the other stood at the door as a lookout.

Police say an undetermined amount of cash was taken, and that no shots were fired and no one was injured.  Criminal Investigations Commander Jane McFadden says the suspects are described as black males, standing 5'7" to 5'8" tall.  One man was wearing a gray and black baggie coat and a black ball cap, while the other man wore a black and gray-hooded coat.
