Rain chances move in for middle of the week

Posted: Updated:

After a pleasant, dry stretch of weather, Meteorologist Kevin Chierek says some rain is on the way. While we stay mostly clear on Tuesday evening, clouds will start to build in during the overnight hours.

A cold front will then approach from the NW on Wednesday. This will bring us showers and storms chances through the day, especially during the afternoon and evening. Chierek says most models are indicating a quarter of an inch of rain will be possible.

High pressure is on the back edge of this system which means we should start to clear out Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Once the cold front exits the region, cooler air from the north will only bring us highs in the upper 50s on Thursday.
