25th Annual Coat Drive begins

Posted:

DOVE, Inc. is launching its 25th annual coat drive Wednesday.

The event, which runs through November 30th, aims to collect 2,500 coats of all sizes for children and others.

“It has been, unfortunately, a need for many years in our community to get warm coats into the hands of families in need,” said Barb Blakey, director of volunteers and community relations for DOVE. “So even though (the drive) is 25 years old, it’s still as vital today as the day we started it.”
