Police: Man Robbed Springfield Domino's Overnight


SPRINGFIELD -- Police said an armed man robbed a safe in a Domino's Pizza in Springfield

It happened at 12:15am Wednesday.  Springfield Police responded to the Domino's at 2662 S. 5th Street for a reported armed robbery.

A store employee told police that a black male entered the store through the back door armed with a handgun and forced him to open the store safe.

The suspect is described as a 6’ - 6’3 black man, who was wearing all black clothing and a ski mask. After removing an unknown amount of cash from the safe, the suspect fled the store.

Police say no one was injured.
