Hickory Point Mall to be closed for Thanksgiving

Posted: Updated:

FORSYTH – CBL & Associate Properties, Inc., owner of Hickory Point Mall, has announced the shopping center will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

President and CEO of the company, Stephen Lebovitz says they want to bring back the excitement of Black Friday shopping as the “true start of the holiday shopping season.” Lebovitz adds that they also wanted to allow employees, retailers and shoppers to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with their families.

“After evaluating feedback from our mal employees, retail partners and input from our shoppers, we determined that this was the best decision for our properties,” Lebovitz says.

The mall is set to open at 6 AM on Black Friday, November 25.

Department stores, movie theaters and retailers with exterior mall entrances will have the option to open their stores on Thursday; however, access to mall common areas will be restricted until 6 AM on Friday.

Those with questions should check the Hickory Point Mall website for more information.
