Garage sale to benefit animals starts Friday

Volunteers in Decatur are holding a “giant garage sale” this weekend to help pay for low-cost spay and neuter services for animals.

The garage sale is being held at the Wick and Morton Buildings in Progress City at Richland Community College. The sale runs from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. Entry to the sale costs $2 per person until 3 p.m. Friday. A $3 bag sale starts at 3 p.m. Saturday. A giveaway on Sunday runs from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and costs $1 for entry.

The program is also accepting donations of pet food or human food for the WAND Food Drive.
