Loami Man Faces Meth Charge a Month After Pleading Guilty to Another

Springfield - Police arrested a man after they said they could smell - and see - the byproduct of a meth lab in Springfield.

Police arrested Thomas Loving, 31, of Loami, on the 1200 block of W. Governor Street in Springfield.  Responding to reports of a possible drug violation, officers could smell an odor coming from the residence.

When the door opened, they saw a distinct haze in the air, and a stronger smell.

Thursday, Loving was charged with manufacturing more than 400 grams, but less than 900 grams, of meth.

Loving plead guilty to possession of a meth precursor on September 8 - a Class 2 Felony. He was sentenced to probation.
