MORGAN COUNTY – Morgan County authorities are on the lookout for a man after he violated his probation by moving out of the state.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Robert W. Brown. Brown pled guilty to Driving Under the Influence and Resisting a Peace Officer back in September 2015 and was sentenced to two years probation. Now, officials say he has violated the conditions of that probation and left the state.

Brown did call the Morgan County Probation Department on September 27, 2016, explaining he had moved, but he did not have their permission to do so.

Now, Brown’s probation has been revoked, and there is currently a warrant out for his arrest.

Crime Stoppers of Morgan and Scott Counties are looking for any information that may lead to Brown’s arrest.

As of October 13, authorities are aware Brown said he was moving to California. A picture of Brown has been attached to this article. Anyone with information is encouraged to submit a tip to Crime Stoppers of Morgan and Scott Counties.

Tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers at 217-243-7300 or submitting a tip online.
