SPRINGFIELD -- Police now say a major gun theft in Springfield may be gang-related.

Springfield Police confirmed with WAND News five people have now been arrested in the theft, which happened Sunday night at the business Letz Hunt and Sport.

Thieves broke in and took more than 50 guns, many of which police say are still unaccounted for.

Jimmie Burrage, 19, and Louis LaSalle were both arrested this week and booked into the Sangamon County Jail.  Three juveniles have also been arrested in connection to the crime.

Police say all five appeared to be tied to the same gang, and that more arrests could come.

They're still seeking information about the crime, and tips can be called into Crime Stoppers at (217) 788-8427
