Wednesday is the Last Day for Free Paint/Stain Disposal

DECATUR - If you'd like a chance to properly get rid of unwanted paint, stains, and varnishes this year, Wednesday is you final chance.

October 19th is the last of the Macon County Environmental Management Recycling Center's disposal events in Decatur in 2016.

The collection will take place from 12:30-5:30 p.m. at their facility at 1750 North 21st Street in Decatur.

Acceptable items include household paints, stains and varnishes, such as interior and exterior latex, alkyd, enamel and oil-based paints.  MCEM will not be able to take paint from businesses, adhesives, automotive paint, household cleaners, or used motor oil.

The collection is drive through and drop off and you can stay in your vehicle, as MCEM staff will be there to help unload your items.
