DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) – Police say two men are facing arson charges in connection to a house fire.

Firefighters went out to an abandoned Danville house at about 3:30 a.m. Friday, located in the 200 block of Kentucky Street. Crews say flames surrounded the house when they arrived. It caused up to $20,000 in damage and took crews over four hours to put out.

The fire did not cause any injuries.

Police say witnesses told them they saw a car in the area right after the firefighters discovered the flames. Officers tracked down a car with a similar description and took the people in it in for questioning.

Police say Johnny Arnett, 40, and Dillon Fishburn, 20, were arrested and taken Vermilion County Jail.  They’re facing preliminary arson charges.
