Convenient passport registration day offered in Springfield

Posted: Updated:

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - The Sangamon County Circuit Clerk's Office is partnering with Illinois National Bank to offer a passport registration day on June 24.

Representatives from the Circuit Clerk's Office will be at 2450 North Dirksen Parkway in Springfield from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. to help process passport applications.  Officials say it's difficult for some individuals and families to register for passports during the week, and that this event is designed to help make the registration process more accessible.

"We’re happy to help the community by extending the passport service into the weekend and into a location that could be a bit more convenient than downtown," says INB President and CEO Sarah Phalen.

Those who wish to register must bring a certified copy of your birth certificate, a valid photo ID, an approved passport photo, certified copies of court orders for name change, custody, or adoption decrees, and two checks or money orders to pay for applicable fees.
